Dachau Concentration Camp Tour
Tour highlights
Tour highlights
The Dachau concentration camp is synonymous with the first Nazi concentration camp in history, a camp that remained open for the twelve years of the Nazi regime’s life. A period that may seem short but, quite the opposite, became long for European society and especially for all those affected who were persecuted by the famous chancellor Adolf Hitler and who were considered a threat to the period that opened the Regime. Entering the Dachau tour is a great opportunity to get to know first-hand the “model” field that the National Socialist Party cloned and exported to the rest of the European continent. This sinister and dark place, heart of Nazism, located a few kilometers from the city of Munich, was inaugurated by Heinrich Himmler in 1933 and liberated by American troops in 1945, after 206,206 communists, social democrats, and some later , political opponents, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Gypsies, homosexuals and Jews were subjected to captivity, experiments, sent to other death camps and all kinds of penalties. Since the 1960s, Dachau has served as a reference site in the German country to remember all these victims. The building of Intendencia, the memorial, the only original gas chamber in all of Germany, the crematorium, the living conditions of the prisoners, their barracks… are some of the breaks we will take for this tour that is vital in your visit to the Bavarian capital. Visiting the Dachau concentration camp is to have an authentic history lesson for the tourist of approximately five hours, very difficult to forget, and a tour made from absolute respect, accompanied by accredited guides and experts with which you do not there will be no detail missing.
